I am back... yeayy ...
It is been a long time after my last post at 2014. And Here I go want to share some stories in 2022.
Actually I want to post this story in 2018 but unfortunately I was so busy at that time so just rewriting it now.
Many of my friends know me that I am in "LOVE" with Korea I love watching Korea drama, listen to K-Pop, eating Korean food, and also I learned Korean language by course and learning it by myself (still learning it until now). My love to Korea makes me wants to go to Korea so much. But unfortunately the opportunity to go to Korea was not easy. I tried to apply KGSP (Korean Government Scholarship Program) for my master degree. I applied it for 5 times. And I always failed. Maybe I am not smart enough to study in Korea. So, I give up, and take Master Degree in Indonesia instead. ^^
Ok, enough with that sad story. Well, I thought maybe I can't go to Korea by being a student there. So, I decided why not go there just for travel? I think one week is enough. This thought actually comes every time I failed to get KGSP. Hohoho... So, I decided I have to save money to go there someday (it is difficult to save money actually when you live in big city^^).
And this dream comes true in this year, in 2018. It began with my friend who almost finished her study in Netherlands chatted me and tell, "Let's go to Korea this year", and she gave me ticket price of Brunei Airlines was so cheap for October... ohh... I am so excited when I read this chat hahahahha... Well, at first I thought that she was joking, but I don't know what happen it become serious and we ask my other friend who love to go to Korea too to join us, and we make Whatsapp group for "Trip To Korea" and in my mind, ok this is serious guys, we make this group so let's make it happen... hahahaha..
Then we start to hunting plane ticket. At the first time we agree with the price of Brunei Airlines, but at the end we choose Air Asia. Because Brunei Airlines have a really looonggg transit in Brunei. We want to go to travel fair too, but unfortunately at the moment there was no travel fair (sigh!!!) So, Air Asia become the last option because we are budget traveler hahahhaaa....
After got ticket then we try to find a place to stay. Ohhh!!! This was not easy too... There was so many options from Guesthouse or tiny apartment, or home or hotel. We were looking from Booking.com and airbnb.com so many good places but the price was good also (so expensive) hahahaha...But we didn't give up and keep looking for good homestay with a reasonable price. Sooo, we got a nice homestay in Mapo-Gu and you know guys!!! Our homestay is neighbor of YG Entertainment Building (hoooooo!!!!) Of course, I was so happy. The price was good, the place looks nice, plus it is neighbor with YG Ent. building.... So excited.
Later I will tell about our homestay.
So, we decided to go to Korea in October 2018 and this is early autumn season in Korea. So excited!!! So many great views that we can enjoy in autumn, so as a person who love and understand Korea, (even just a tiny bit^^) I started to make itinerary and budget estimate to go to Korea. Later I will explain too about our itinerary and our budget.
After all this ticket, homestay, and itinerary done, last but not least, we apply for visa. Korean visa are divide by Single Visa and Multiple Visa. Single visa only valid for 90 days. And Multiple visa valid for 5 years, if you want to go to Korea back and forth in 5 year, you can apply for multiple visa. Anyway we apply for single visa only. Visa was done by 6 days of work started from 1 day after application, so here something funny that me and my friends did. Our visa should be done by September 14th, but in September 14th, we can't find our data in Visa Application Status by online (https://www.visa.go.kr). So, we thought maybe the embassy still review it and need more time. Then we check again in September 15th, still the same. And then we check again in September 16th, but still no data. I started to worry, was my document not really good for review? That was my thought. But, suddenly I started to find review by online about how to check visa application by online. And finally I realize that I wrote my name wrong, so Last name first then your name. I wrote my name from first name to last, so of course there was no data, because the mistake was on me, not website hahahahaha...
After wrote my name correctly, then I was so happy, it approved everybody yeaaayyy....
